Empower Community Health is a radio program compiled of Community Health organizations who provide countless resources to the city of SA. Every episode focuses on a single organization, how they began and sheds light on the frontline work they do. From Center for Refugee Services to Yanawana Herbolarios, each organization describes in detail what motivates them and how the community can utilize their resources. Suzanne Tejeda, (Suzy’s) City of San Antonio career began with the Department of Human Services (DHS), where she served teens and families within the Youth Services Program. Her current role is the Social Services Manager with Metro Health’s Healthy Start Program, where she has worked since 2007.
